A tour of RIKEN Tsukuba branch was held for new administrative staff to be employed. They watched “real” mouse IVF and fertilized embryos in our lab.

Prof. Takuya Sato, Yokohama City University, visited our laboratory with his students for collaborative ICSI experiments. We hope that healthy mouse pups will be born 20 days later!

At the first session, Dr. Aya UCHIDA introduced her research career and future research plan. She also made a poster presentation. Title: Sertoli valve formation and spermatogenesis are modulated by Sox17+ rete testis in mouse testis

AT The 14th Japan-China-Korea International Postgraduate Academic Forum (On line) hosted by the University of Tsukuba, Ms. Naomi Watanabe presented a paper titled “Establishment and characterization of nuclear transfer embryonic stem cells from wild-derived mouse strains”. She successfully completed her first English presentation and the Q&A session. After evaluation by reviewers, she was awarded the Silver Award. Congratulations!

The 115th SRD Meeting was held onsite (The University of Tokyo) and online hybrid. Dr. Kimiko INOUE has won the SRD Outstanding Research Award 2022. “Elucidation of abnormalities induced by somatic cell nuclear transfer techniques and development of methods for their improvement.”

Dr. Kento Miura, Hiroshima University, came to our lab for a collaborative experiment to generate new mice cloned from antigen-specifice T cells.
