On April 16, Dr. Aya Uchida of the Jackson Laboratory Japan, a graduate of our laboratory, visited BRC with Mr. Tomohiro Tamasato (Manager of Special Animal Services), Dr. Michael Ellis (Senior Director, Research & Development, The Jackson Laboratory, U.S.A.) and Dr. Aubrey Watkins (Vice President, Corporate Development, The Jackson Laboratory, U.S.A.). Dr. Ogura introduced our laboratory’s research/technology development and exchanged information on mouse reproductive engineering technology each other.

Dr. Kento Miura, Hiroshima University, came to our lab for a collaborative experiment to generate new mice cloned from antigen-specifice T cells.

On March 8-9, the 4th Annual Meeting of Sexual Reproduction Research “Reproductive Research for the Future” was held at the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Agriculture, Nakajima Hall (Tokyo). On February 14-15, the BRC Young Scientists Networking Symposium 2024 -Talking Frankly about the Paths to Becoming Life Science Researchers- was held at the RIKEN BioResource Research Center (Tsukuba, Ibaraki). Dr. Horiuchi and Dr. Morishita (Ochi Yume Clinic, Nagoya) came to our laboratory for a collaboration of hamster embryo cryopreservation. We hope that our knockout hamster lines will be safely cryopreserved with a new vitrification technique.
