STEM Career Support Symposium
The STEM Career Choice Support Symposium was held at the Tsukuba International Congress Center (Tsukuba, Ibaraki) on Nov. 9th, and was also online. The symposium, hosted by the Ibaraki Prefecture, aimed to stimulate interest in science and engineering careers among junior high and high school students, their parents, and teachers. Dr. Kimiko Inoue delivered the keynote address. Title: What Is Developmental Engineering?
RIKEN Autumn School 2025
RIKEN Autumn School 2025 was held at Tsukuba International Congress Center (Tsukuba, Ibaraki) on Oct.14th to 15th. This event aims to provide a forum for exchange among young researchers from various research fields and countries, targeting Junior Research Associates (JRA), International Program Associates (IPA), and RIKEN Student Researchers (RSR). From our laboratory, Syun Tokita and Takaki Tatebe(JRA), Pham Dinh Quoc(IPA), and Yusuke Senda(RSR) participated. Dr. Tanabe, the Graduate University for Advanced Studies, visited our lab.
Dr. Hideyuki Tanabe, the Graduate University for Advanced Studies, visited our lab and taught us how to prepare chromosome specimens. Dr. Tanabe is an expert in chromosome FISH. There were many tips at every step of the process, making it a highly educational experience. We were also amazed by Dr. Tanabe’s skilled techniques. Dr. Amano, the Next Generation Human Disease Model Research Team, Dr. Mizuno, the Experimental Animal Division, and Ms. Hirose from our lab, participated.
Tsukuba Conference 2025
Tsukuba Conference 2025 was held at Tsukuba International Congress Center (Tsukuba, Ibaraki) on Oct.1st to 3rd. Theme: Going into New Frontiers with Society RIKEN BioResource Research Center (BRC) participated in the conference and held a concurrent session on Oct 1. Dr. Kimiko INOUE, Director of our lab, joined the session. The 13th Symposium on Laboratory Animal Science
Dr. Atsuo Ogura from our lab participated in the 13th Symposium on Laboratory Animal Science, “New Developments in Laboratory Animal Science through DX Utilization,” held at Kyoto University, and delivered remarks as the President of the Japanese Society for Laboratory Animal Science.
